MPGMD Mobile Emergency Medical Training

All Blended Classes

Complete the video lecture presentations online using your own personal computer, in the comfort of your own home, and at your pace! You have up to thirty days to complete the online portion of training. The estimated time to view the video lectures and pass the open book test is 3.5 hours.  After completion of the online portion, scheduling of the required in-person skills training will follow. 

 

In-person skills training can be performed for four to twelve students any Saturday or Sunday morning at our regional skills training location in Niceville, Florida.  For a class of one to three students, skill training can be held anytime at the Santa Rosa Beach, Florida location.

 

The in-person skills session can also be scheduled any day of the week at your local office, business, or place of employment throughout the Southeast and MidWest regions of the country. A minimum of six and maximum of twelve registered students per half-day class is required.   

 

All necessary instruction and training equipment will be furnished.  Digital certification cards will be available upon successful completion of the skills session.

CPR/AED/FIRST AID TRAINING  UTILIZING BLENDED LEARNING EDUCATION METHOD. 

With blended learning techniques, you complete the classroom video presentations online, then schedule and successfully complete the in-person skills training session to receive your certification. 

 

Skills training is completed in one or two hours depending upon class size. This allows for one instructor to train and certify up to twenty four students per day, utilizing one morning and one afternoon class, each class with up to twelve students. Utilizing six stations, two students at each station will allow optimum individual instruction and skill practice.

We offer Adult only or any combination:
Adult,Child, Infant CPR, AED, First Aid Training and Certification classes.

Other certification class topics offered include: Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid, Emergency Use Medical Oxygen, Wilderness Training, BloodBorne Pathogens, Emergency Life Threatening Bleeding, and Basic Life Support.

Our courses are designed for individuals to learn how to properly perform CPR, use an AED, and provide basic first aid, in order to be prepared for any medical emergency.

At MPGMD Mobile Emergency Medical Training, we provide the highest level of training with the option of coming to you! After completing the online portion of training, Doctor Gagliardi can travel to your location for the skills only training to ensure your team is prepared and ready to provide CPR, Automated External Defibrillation, and/or First Aid for acute medical problems. Skills only classes require from one to two hours for completion and certification.

MPGMD Emergency Medical Training and Certification provides blended (i.e. cognitive online/in-person skills performance) learning for any combination of Adult/Child/Infant CPR-AED-First Aid.  Related certification classes offered include Emergency Use Medical Oxygen, Basic Life Support, Stop-The-Bleed, Wilderness First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.  

 

Mobile training option allows for on-site or off-site local or regional availability for in-person skills training.  Regional classes offered in the following states: Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan. 

Upon completion of both online and in-person skills testing, students will receive a link to the student manual and digital class certification cards. The written class evaluation is not required for certification but strongly suggested.

Instructor Bio

Marty P. Gagliardi, MD, FACS, FAAOS: Retired Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon

Doctor Gagliardi is a retired orthopaedic surgeon of 41 years, the first twenty years dedicated to general orthopaedic practice and the last twenty one years devoted exclusively to high level orthopaedic trauma. He is an Emeritus Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Emeritus Member of the the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He has served as an Independent Medical Examiner for the New York State Workers Compensation Board and is a certified emergency care instructor for the Health and Safety Institute (HSI), headquartered in Eugene, Oregon. He is American Heart Association certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and American College of Surgeons certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support.

 

Doctor Gagliardi has earned his "six-pack" marine vessel Captain's license, a marine Towing Diploma, and a National Maritime Center approved Merchant Mariner Credential with Transportation Worker Identification Card. He is a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, District 8-CR, Division 01, Flotilla 09 located in Panama City Beach, Florida, and volunteers to teach and certify United States Coast Guard Active Duty, and Auxiliary shipmates, in Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and Emergency Use Medical Oxygen.  

 

For recreation "Doc G" enjoys reading, health and fitness activities, deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, recreational boating, and hunting.  He also enjoys visiting family and four grandchildren that reside in California, Idaho, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. He is an Eagle Scout Life Member. His wife, Teri, is a retired Registered Nurse (ICU/ER/Hospital Nursing Supervisor), and the owner/operator/manager of multiple rental condos. He and Teri are the proud owners of two Devon Rex cats, Vinnie and Dante.

MPGMD Mobile Emergency Medical Training provides USCG required certification/recertification in CPR and First Aid for Merchant Mariners, Charter Boat Captains and Crew.  

International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) for Seafarers sets minimum qualification standards for masters, officers and watch personnel on seagoing merchant ships and large yachts to include CPR and First Aid training, certification and recertification. 

HSI CPR/First Aid courses meet or exceed USCG certification or recertification requirements for STCW mariners.

Health and Safety Institute CPR/First Aid training is approved by the USCG and National Maritime Center for Merchant Mariner Certification.

 The United States Coast Guard and the National Maritime Center have determined that this course meets or exceeds:

  • The standards of the American National Red Cross Standard First Aid or American National Red Cross Community First Aid & Safety courses and satisfies the First Aid training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1)(ii) for a merchant mariner credential; AND

  • The standards of the American National Red Cross or the American Heart Association for CPR courses and satisfies the CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(2)(iii) for a merchant mariner credential.
